There are many places where you can find more information, get advice and support on equality, diversity, inclusion and human rights. Sources of information can include the individual, the individual’s care plan, advocate, policies and procedures and guidelines.

There are also many websites that you can access, these list all of the current legislation in place to protect the rights of individuals. You can also contact certain groups such as Age UK who will supply materials that you can hand out to service users to inform them of their rights.

Other sources you may find helpful include The Equality and Human Rights Commission, Skills for Care Council and the Quality Care Commission, all have websites with information and documents that you can download. We have added some links to the resources section of this website so you can research further.

And finally for advice and support about equality and inclusion speak to you manager or supervisor.
